Welcome to the VCU School of Business.
There are more than 1,200 business programs in the United States. All teach accounting, finance, management, marketing, economics and other basic disciplines. What sets the really good ones apart? Location, facilities, corporate involvement and support, faculty, and students who want to learn and take full advantage of opportunities given them.
VCU’s School of Business is such a school. Located in the heart of one of the most vibrant business communities in the country – with 9 fortune 500 headquarter companies calling Richmond home – Virginia was voted the best place in the country to do business. If you want to study business, go where business lives!
Our new School of Business building will open for the spring semester of 2008, with almost 150,000 square feet of tiered case study classrooms, team building rooms, an operating trading room and data center, a career center for business and engineering students, and a dining facility.
Our corporate support and involvement are superb, and increasing by the day. We call on companies for professional faculty, mentors, internships and co-ops, and many other partnerships. Take a look at our Foundation Board of Trustees; our Business Council; and our alumni board to get an idea of the quality individuals involved with our school.
Our faculty of teacher-scholars, nearly 100 strong, complemented by some 60 adjunct/professional faculty drawn from Richmond corporations, teach a breadth of programs un-matched in our region. Quoted often in major publications like Forbes, Fortune, and Business Week, the faculty is at the heart of the School’s excellence.
Whether you are a prospective undergraduate or graduate student; whether you want full-time or part-time study; a fast track degree program; or a certificate, VCU’s School of Business is the most comprehensive in the Commonwealth.
Please explore our website. Check out our programs and offerings. Nothing beats speaking with someone – an admissions counselor, a current student, a faculty member, a corporate executive, or a dean!
