Dr. Gary Previts to Speak on “ U.S. Financial Reporting
Models--From Our First Big Businesses to Today"

Dr. Gary John Previts, one of the "Top 100 Most Influential
People in Accounting" and co-author of A History of Accountancy
in the United States, has been named the 2007 Thalhimer Scholar-in-Residence
at Virginia Commonwealth University. Alumni and the general public
are invited to attend a free presentation on “U.S. Financial
Reporting Models – From Our First Big Business to Today” by
Mr. Previts on Thursday, September 20 at 9:30 a.m. in the VCU Student
Commons, Commonwealth Ballroom. Free, no reservation necessary.
Dr. Previts is president of the American Accounting Association
and professor of Accountancy at Case Western Reserve University,

The Annual VCU Real Estate Trends Conference is one of the leading

Jody L. Korman, BS’79, earned the professional designation
of Certified Residential Specialist (CRS). She reports that 4%
of realtors nationally hold the designation. Jody is an associate
broker with ReMax Commonwealth and lives in Glen Allen.
Randy Howard, BS’83, PhD’05, is Director of Semantic
Solutions for SRA International. He lives in Dumfries, Virginia.
Melody King, BS '93, is the Controller for The Federal Club,
an Arnold Palmer Signature golf course on Route 33 in Hanover County.
She is also Southeast Regional Director for the American Society
of Women Accountants, as well as being the local chapter president

Cindy Reagan, BS’80 is Senior Lead Software Application
Developer, Enterprise Information Systems, Texas A&M University.
Kendra Williams-Giles, BS’00, is the Human Resources Manager
for a non-profit credit union in Northern Virginia.
GayDonna Vandergriff, MBA'02, of Glen Allen, is running for election
to the Henrico County School Board from the Brookland District
this November. Her platform is every kid, every school. GayDonna
is currently a Marketing Professor at Strayer University, Henrico
Campus.
Jeremy L. Jones, BS’03, reports that after a 7 year career
in Sports & Entertainment, he has moved into Higher Education
with a focus on helping young males Achieve their Dreams. See www.lee.edu

lives in Houston, TX.
