Virginia T. Barker

VCU School of Business faculty member, Dr. Randolph T. Barker, professor of Management, and his wife, Dr. Sandra B. Barker, professor of Psychiatry, recently established a scholarship in memory of Virginia T. Barker, Randy's mother.

Mrs. Barker’s career included management with Disney World in Orlando, Florida as well as Past President of the Orlando Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association and the Disney World Golden Ears Retirement Association.  She was an avid supporter of higher education and management/leadership knowledge building.

The endowed scholarship bearing her name will be awarded to a full-time undergraduate with at least junior standing majoring in management.  Selection will be based on academic merit and financial need.  The first award will be made in the fall of 2008.
