April 20th:
The first School of Business and
School of Engineering Student
Organization Mixer was held
Monday, April 20th from 5:00 to
7:00 pm in the Snead Hall
atrium. Close to a hundred
students from different student
organizations attended this
event.
April 14th:
The
AMA hosted Lesley

the Valentine Richmond History
Center as a guest speaker. The

Snead Hall in Room B1212 at 7 pm.
April
10, 2009: Between March 17th
and April 7th, the AMA
successfully collected 523 lbs
of food for the Central Virginia
Food Bank, feeding 522 people in
the Richmond community. The
event was coordinated by the
officers of this year's AMA.
Their efforts are
particularly important given the
severely
strained situation of
food banks
due to the economic downturn.
A special thank you to the MKTG
students and faculty who
supported this worthwhile cause.
April 4, 2009: The AMA
volunteered at the Children's
Museum of Richmond for the CMoR
Birthday Bash. The AMA has
volunteered at CMoR in the past
including the fall Halloween
celebration.
March 24,
2009: The AMA was one of the
student organization hosts for
the Spring Etiquette Dinner on
Tuesday, March 24th at the
Jefferson Hotel Grand Ballroom.
The etiquette dinner was an
evening of speaker-led
instruction, designed to help
students navigate future
business functions and
interviews involving meals.
Josh Wilberger of the AMA
and Jamal Ibrahim introduced the
speakers at this event.
March 3, 2009:
The AMA
sponsored guest speaker
Andrew Ferguson from EURO RSCG
Impact a marketing firm
on March 3rd.
The last
general meeting was held
before the guest
speaker on
Tuesday, March 3rd. Students
interested in AMA were
welcome to stop by to general
meeting.
February 17,

American Marketing Association
had an extremely successful
"Meet and Greet" session on
