To remain in the Global Scholar Program students are required to
Be a full-time student and attend special Global Scholar activities.
Maintain a grade point average indicative of academic excellence.
Consistent with the VCU Honors Program students are expected
to maintain a 3.5 or better GPA.
Become knowledgeable in a language other than his/her native
language as well as a culture and a geographic area where the
language is spoken. (Earning 6 hours of language credit at the
300 level or higher is one way to satisfy this requirement.)
Have an approved study or work experience with an international
dimension. (A study abroad of at least a semester is encouraged,
but alternatives that are less expensive can be arranged with
the program director, Dr.
Robert Andrews.)
Participate in an internship or an approved relationship with
an external corporate entity. The nature and duration remains
open to provide flexibility for opportunities that arise for
the student.
Meet periodically with his/her mentor.
Select a major from those offered by the VCU School of Business.
