Accounting Department March 26
Manuscript co-authored by Dr. Ruth Epps, Dr. Hassan HassabElnaby, and Dr. Amal Said has been accepted for publication in “Critical Perspectives On Accounting” (AAI of .40 as calculated by the School’s Ph.D. Committee) will be the lead article (pp. 1-20) in the June 2002 publication. This Journal is published semiannually.

Dr. James H. Boykin, MAI, SREA Alfred L. Blake Chair professor of Real Estate.
March 7 received a commendation from Virginia General Assembly for his contributions. In 1990 he was appointed by the Governor to serve on the Virginia Appraiser Board and was reappointed in 1994.

Dr. Randolph Barker recognized for his paper “Co-Worker Communication Influence Behavior in Lateral Organizational Relationships,” in the Theory Research Category by the Southeast ABC Conference Best Paper Award for 2002.

Dr. Randy Sleeth, awarded an Instructional Development Center (IDC) Faculty Mentor Award.

Dr. Michael Spinelli, awarded a Student Technology Expert Award for the Spring Semester to develop an on-line course in business statistics.
