Boykin Receives Distinguished Life
Time Achievement Award

Dr. James H. Boykin is congratulated by Robert Barton,

President of the Virginia Commonwealth Chapter of the Appraisal Institute.
James H. Boykin, Ph. D, MAI, SRA, CRE received
the distinguished Life Time Achievement Award
from the Virginia Commonwealth Chapter of the Appraisal Institute for
his outstanding contribution to the Appraisal Institute, community, and
the real estate profession. Dr. Boykin joined VCU in 1971 as an assistant
professor. The next year he was named the first and only Alfred L. Blake
Endowed Chair Professor of Real Estate, established by the Virginia Association
of Realtors. He is the past Chaiman of the Real Estate Center Directors
and Chairholder Association and member of the Board of Governors of the
American Institute of Corporate Asset Management. He was appointed in
1990 and reappointed in 1993 by the Governor to serve on the Virginia
Appraiser Board. Later he was appointed to the RF&P Corporation Board
of Directors and the Real Estate Advisory Committee of ht Virginia Retirement
System. He has authored numerous article and books in the field of real
estate.
