The Department of Accounting under the leadership of Dr. Ruth W. Epps, and with the support of the Department's Advisory Council, established the Controllers Executive RoundTable in 1999. The main purpose of the RoundTable is to provide a means for enhancing the professional development of controllers of major private and public companies, while cultivating a regional network of controllers facing common challenges and having distinctive professional interests as a group. Membership in the RoundTable is limited to Controllers of major companies that have significant operations in Virginia and is by invitation. The RoundTable is organized and run by a Steering Committee consisting of representatives from participating firms and the Department of Accounting.
